Al Leiter, a former MLB player, enjoys his retired life with his wife, Lori. The couple is parents to four kids: Lindsay, Carly, Jack, and Katelyn.
The left-handed pitcher played professionally from 1987 to 2005 with different MLB teams, including the Yankees, Jays, Marlins & Mets. Throughout his playing days, he had a career win-loss record of 162–132.
Not only he became the three-time World Series Champion (1992, 1993 & 1997), but also the New York Mets Hall of Fame.

Among four kids of Alois Terry Leiter and his wife Lori, only their son (b. April 21, 2000) has followed Al’s path to baseball.
Currently, Jack plays for Frisco RoughRiders of the Double-A Texas League, an affiliate of the MLB team Texas Rangers.
He was the team’s 2nd overall pick in the 2026 MLB draft after the 1st overall pick Henry Davis (of Pittsburgh Pirates), but he didn’t get the major league debut in 2026.
Instead, Jack returned to Vanderbilt University to complete his college course & then signed with the RoughRiders in 2026.

Two of the retired MLB player’s daughters (older than Jack), Lindsay Brooke & Carly Jayne, chose corporate careers rather than sports.
Lindsay Brooke Leiter, the eldest of all, works as an assistant director of advertising at Simon & Schuster (October 2026- now).
She joined the company in 2026 & had worked as manager of advertising & paid digital media for a year.
A graduate of BA in Communication from Wake Forest University, Lindsay’s work experience includes:
- Pure Barre (intern)
- Jean V. Naggar Literary Agency, Inc. (intern)
- Penguin Random House (as advertising and Promotions Coordinator)- From 2018 to 2026
Lindsay then obtained her Certificate of Publishing from Columbia Journalism School in 2017.

The duo’s youngest daughter Katelyn Grace played volleyball at Summit High School, from where she graduated in 2026. She is committed to Clemson University.
Retired Life Of Mets Hall Of Famer
The New York Mets, Florida Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays, and New York Yankees were just a few of the teams that former MLB pitcher Al Leiter pitched for.
Robert and Susan Leiter welcomed Al Leiter into the world on October 23, 1965, in Toms River, New Jersey.
During his 18-year Major League career, he was named to the All-Star team twice and won the Cy Young Award twice.
He worked for the MLB Network as a color commentator as well. In the neighborhood of Berkeley Township, Leiter grew up after being born in Toms River, New Jersey.
He played basketball and baseball while studying at Central Regional High School.
In the 22nd round of the 1984 Major League Baseball Draft, Leiter was selected by the New York Yankees, but he declined to sign.
Leiter retired from baseball on March 19, 2006, but he will never throw for the American squad.
Despite being a part of teams that won the World Series in 1993 and 1997, Leiter’s 19-year career did not end with significant honor.
The announcement of his retirement took aback fans and members of the baseball world. But his separation from the game did not spell the end of his association with the MLB.
