Angelina began her professional career back in 2000, the beginning of the century. At first, she was associated with Hardcore Wrestling Federation in Ontario, Canada, and wrestled in various independent promotions under the ring name Angel Williams.

Later in 2004, WWE signed a contract with Angelina and assigned her to wrestle and train in another WWE developmental territory, Deep South Wrestling (DSW).

After DSW shut down, Angelina moved to Ohio Valley Wrestling and made her OVW debut in a dark match at the May 16, 2007 television tapings in Louisville, Kentucky, defeating Serena.
