Anthony Davis suffered a head injury in Game 5 against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, May 10, 2026.

The Lakers struck first in their Western Conference Semifinal matchup against the Warriors, holding on for a nail-biting 117-112 win at the Chase Center on Tuesday night, 2 May 2026.

Davis played extraordinarily well, recording 30 points and 23 rebounds in Game 1.

With this, he became just the fourth player in franchise history with a 30-20-5 line in the postseason.

Despite a solid start to the series in Game 1, Davis struggled to find his footing in Game 2 against the Warriors.

The star center, who had 30 points and 23 rebounds in the previous game, could only manage 11 points and seven rebounds in the team’s 127-100 loss at Chase Center on Thursday.

Davis was taken to the locker room in a wheelchair with a towel over his head.

He was placed in the NBA’s concussion protocol, and his status for Game 6 is uncertain.

It was later reported that Davis has avoided a concussion and is expected to be OK.

Davis scored 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting, along with ten rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and one steal in Game 5 before he left the game with an injury.

He played 29 minutes and had a plus-minus of +4. He was the second-leading scorer for the Lakers behind , who had 28 points.

Throughout his career, Anthony Davis has sustained his fair share of injuries. Some of the notable injuries he has endured in the past include,
