The player’s father has made a name for himself as an Automotive professional. He worked for 21 years, from 1988 to 2009, as the Engineering Test Technician at Pollak.

On the other hand, Bruce’s mother, Roberta Sweet Brown, ran a daycare for 22 years in Boston before moving to Atlanta.

Although her profession could not be specified presently, she also worked as a Delta ramp agent at Atlanta International Airport until March 2017.

It was then that she heard from the University of Miami basketball coach that her son had been named to the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic Team.

Roberta put education above everything and nearly broke down from the news as the honor required a minimum 3.0 grade-point average.

She was the disciplinarian who stressed education from when her children could speak.

In addition, Roberta also enrolled Bruce in a program called “No Books, No Ball” in Boston.

The registered players would have to submit their report cards with good grades to be eligible to play.

Bruce’s mom’s toughness shaped him into the person he is now, and he is not afraid of the moment nor intimidated easily.
