Cameron Young is often mistaken as Carson Young’s brother. While the golfers share the profession, they don’t share the bloodlines.

Carson Oates Young is a Professional Golfer who plays on the . He was born in Anderson, South Carolina, on November 12, 1994.

The player graduated from Clemson University in 2017 with a marketing degree. He was a member of the Clemson University Men’s Golf team and was a prominent player as a youngster.

Although Clemson breathes football, he and the team made a name in golf. Young, a member of the All-ACC team in 2016 and 2017, helped the Tigers win the ACC Championship in April 2016. 

Carson turned professional in 2017 after his senior season. His career victories include “Jacksonville Championship” in the LOCALiQ Series in 2026 and “The Panama Championship” in 2026.

The golfer’s dream of playing the PGA TOUR came to fruition after he made it to the top 50 from the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour. 

Out of the 22 events Young has played in the PGA TOUR, he made cuts in 8 of them. His FedExCup rank is 105, which is also the highest in his career.

is an American professional golfer born on May 7, 1997. The Wake Forest University graduate hails from the city of Scarborough in New York.

Young finished no. 19 finish on the 2026-21 Korn Ferry Tour Regular Season Points List and earned his first PGA Tour card.

The player has made it to the top three in major championships twice, including several other runner-up finishes on the PGA Tour.

He has won the Korn Ferry Tour twice and was voted PGA Tour Rookie of the Year for the 2026–22 season. Cameron was selected for the U.S. team in the 2026 Presidents Cup in September 2026. 

His father, David Young, is the head professional at in Westchester County, New York.

Is Carson Young Related To Cameron Young?

Cameron Young is often considered Carson Young’s brother. It is because both of the professional golfers’ names bear a resemblance to sibling names.

Even though the players share their last names and profession, it is safe to say that they do not share blood relations.

The closeness of their birth year may have helped to kindle the flames ignited by their names in golf. The rumored brothers were born two and a half years apart.

While Cameron was born to a family of golfers, it was not the case at all for Carson. Rather opposite, nobody in Carson’s family knew anything about the game.

Their birthplace is evidential in proving the case, as one grew up in South Carolina and another in New York. Thus, Cameron Young is not Carson Young’s brother.

Young grew up in Pendleton, a small town in Anderson, SC. Although Carson played competitive tennis growing up, he fancied the golf course beside the tennis courts.

His family tree can be traced back up to his parents from his hometown of Anderson. He was born to his father, Terry Young, and his mother, whose name is yet to be known.

Terry took his son to junior tournaments when he was younger and helped him through nervous situations. Carson would insist on competing even when his father offered him to go home.

Carson Young has two brothers, Parker Willis Young, and Daniel Alan Young. Parker is an emerging writer, and Daniel is the owner of a pool business.

The brothers spend time together snowboarding and doing other activities whenever possible.

Carson has a lovely wife, Riley Young, who is a talented photographer. He met Riley around ten years ago while they were in high school.

Young has always had a supporting family. That is one of the reasons for his reigning success in his golf career.
