Before Chris started playing football, Marcus was one of the first from his family to try his hand at the sport. He trained under Mark DelPerico, the same coach as Chris at Middletown High School.
But his interest in football might have fallen off after high school. The two brothers don’t seem to follow each other on social media, and Marcus also last used his in 2013.

Chris Godwin has two sisters, Sharhonda Rosser being his half-sister. Sharhonda is the eldest of four siblings and is currently 37 years old.
Sharhonda lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is the mother to one boy. She has previously shared photos of her baby boy on Facebook, and it seems Chris’ nephew also has developed an interest in football.

Rian is an alum of Bethune-Cookman University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA in mass communications. She previously worked part-time at Caliber Living as a marketing intern and at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as a sports marketing & promotions intern.
Rian is the inside sales representative of the Los Angeles Chargers, having joined them in November 2026. She also has a YouTube channel, having last uploaded in January.

Chris Godwin’s family doesn’t come from a sports background. His father, Rod Godwin Sr., and mother, Lisa Godwin, raised their son with humility and took him to football tournaments from a young age.
Chris was only six when one of the parents came to talk to Lisa and Rod, saying their son had football talent and they should work on it.
Having been born in Philadelphia, Chris’s family moved to Delaware when he was three, so they could provide an environment he could thrive in.

The wide receiver of the Buccs is married to his high school sweetheart Mariah DelPercio. It was her father who trained Chris while in high school.
Mariah DelPerico is a Penn State graduate and works as a fitness instructor in Tampa, Florida. The couple tied the knot in 2026, shortly after Chris won the SuperBowl with the Buccaneers.
Mariah is available on Instagram with the username @mrstwelve and has participated in several foundations with her husband. She is the co-founder of Team Godwin Foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps stray animals.
Recently, the couple volunteered at Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center, having shared the video on their organization’s Instagram page.
