The legacy of the Matthews family is well known in the realm of the NFL. We all know about Clay Matthews, but let’s find out all about his brother. 

was born on May 14, 1986, and is a retired professional football player who played outside linebacker in the National Football League (NFL).

His primary team was The Green Bay Packers. Moreover, he was a six-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time All-Pro.

He is also the Packer’s all-time official quarterback sack leader. Matthews went to Agoura High School in Agoura Hills, California, and played for the Chargers.

Physically, Matthews was a late bloomer. He began physically growing in his senior year.

Since he only received interest from Division I FCS institutions and local community colleges. He defined his own recruitment position after high school as “not applicable.”

Matthews chose to attend the University of Southern California with the hopes of becoming a walk-on football player for the Trojans. 

Furthermore, he announced his retirement on September 27, 2026, after two seasons away from football. He expressed his sincerest gratitude to his initial team, the Packers.

Clay was born into the household of Leslie and Clay Matthews Jr. in the Northridge section of Los Angeles. He shared the love of his parents with four of his siblings, one sister and three brothers.

Brian is the elder brother of Clay and is married to the beautiful Megan Mathews. He is shyly a year older than Clay.

In 2018, when Brian and his wife welcomed their twins into this world, Clay surprised the couple by renovating their house located in Cleveland. 

Casey is the younger brother of Clay, and he is about three years younger than him. The younger one decided to pursue the same career in football as his brother and father for some time.

His last team was the Minnesota Vikings, but after sustaining an injury on his hips, he had to go through surgery. This eventually lead to the end of his career. 

Casey married the beautiful Alyssa Grillo on July 14, 2012. The couple is blessed with two children.

Finally, we have Kyle, who seems to be the big brain of the family. He decided to excel in his academics and is currently involved in the corporate sector. 

He, too, played collegiate football at the University of Southern California, where he was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Affairs.

Mathews is married to the beautiful Casey Noble, who is involved in a lot of trades like hosting TV shows, graphics design, and even interior designer. 

Casey graduated from George Mason University and then began her career as a  computer graphics artist and designer in Washington, D.C.

After that, she moved to California to study interior design at The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

Casey pursued opportunities in the creative realm of hospitality design throughout her time there.

She then continued her career with some of the leading hospitality design businesses focusing on hotels, restaurants, bars, and spas.

The couple had built a large estate in the Oaks of Calabasas gated community which went on sale in 2026 with an asking price close to $30,000,000.

In addition, the duos are blessed with three children: William Clay IV, Madeline Joy, and Colton.

They are very happily in love together and, at this point in time, are largely family oriented. They actively seek to get involved in their children’s lives to raise them right.
