Craig Kimbrel and his wife, Ashley, welcomed their daughter, Lydia Joy, on November 3, 2017, but unfortunately, the infant was born with a condition.
Craig Michael Kimbrel was born in Huntsville, Alabama, on May 28, 1988. He is a in Major League Baseball (MLB), playing for the Philadelphia Phillies.

After five years of marriage, the couple had a lovely daughter named Lydia Joy on November 3, 2017. However, Lydia was diagnosed with a cardiac condition.
The same year, they relocated to Boston, Massachusetts, specifically for their daughter’s surgery.
During Kimbrel’s time in the hospital for Lydia, the player said,
“The doctors have been amazing, very encouraging,” “There’s a plan for everything. You want to be there and do everything you can, but you have to step back and trust the doctors and doing what we can.”
400 Career Saves
On a memorable Friday evening against the Braves, the Phillies’ closer, Craig, etched his name into the annals of Major League Baseball history.
With his sensational performance, Kimbrel notched his 400th career save, firmly solidifying his place among the elite ranks of the game.

This success marked a bounce-back for Kimbrel after being traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
He converted all six save opportunities with the Phillies, impressing his new team.
Kimbrel reached 400 saves in his 730th appearance, making him the third-fastest pitcher to do so. His manager, Rob Thompson, praised his work ethic and toughness.
“When you’re in the ninth inning , you are in the spotlight. Bright lights are on you.” Rob said.
