They started fighting inside the van while they were playing the Pokemon game on their Game Boys. The van was designed so that it had a button that would open the sliding door if pushed from inside.
The boys accidentally pressed the button. And then they rolled over onto the outside of the van. They fell into the parking lot. A store employee noticed them and brought them inside, asking the parents in the store if they knew the boys.

Hudson went to Sequatchie County High School in Dunlap, Tennessee. He committed to Mississippi State University in 2012 while he was in his junior year of high school.
Hudson recorded a combined 34 innings between his freshman and sophomore years in the university.
He started five games and made one relief appearance in 2014 as a freshman. Hudson recorded 1–2 with a 4.67 ERA and 10 strikeouts.
Similarly, he had 17 relief appearances in 2015 as a sophomore. Also, he recorded 1–1 with a 4.32 ERA with 26 strikeouts.
Hudson had registered a 1.09 earned run average (ERA) with 124 strikeouts in 64 innings in his high school senior year.
The Texas Rangers drafted Dakota Hudson in the 36th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. But he did not accept the opportunity and instead went for Mississippi State.
He then pitched for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks in the Cape Cod Baseball League. It was in the summer of 2015.
He then returned in 2016 to begin his junior year in high school.
He started 17 games for the Mississippi State Bulldogs Baseball team. Hudson registered 9–5 with a 2.55 ERA and 115 strikeouts in 113 innings pitched.

Hudson was then named St. Louis Cardinals’ fifth starter going into the 2019 season.
He played over 33 games (32 of which were starts) during the regular season of 2019.
