During the 2017-18 season, Reed appeared in 21 games, starting in one, before the Suns waived him and signed .

Reed joined the Indiana Pacers for the 2018-19 season, but an injury cut his season short after playing only 10 games.

In the 2019-20 season, he played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the G League affiliate of the Miami Heat, and averaged 12.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.

For the 2026-21 season, Reed joined the Taoyuan Pilots of the P. League+ before joining the Denver Nuggets for the 2026-22 season.

In his first year with the Nuggets, he played in 48 games, starting in five, and averaged 4.4 points per game.

In the 2026-23 season, he played 35 games for the Nuggets, averaging 2.3 points per game before being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in the mid-season in a four-team trade.

Reed’s career high of 17 points came on March 7, 2026, in a game for the Nuggets against the Golden State Warriors.

He then signed three 10-day hardship contracts with the Nuggets on December 4, 19, and 20 of 2026, worth $95,930, $94,304, and $95,930, respectively.

Then, on January 9, 2026, he signed a two-way contract with the Nuggets and Grand Rapids Gold.

Denver extended a two-way qualifying offer worth $1.58 million on June 27, 2026, making him a restricted free agent.

On July 9, 2026, he agreed to a two-year contract worth $3.97 million with the Nuggets, which had an annual average salary of $1.98 million and a guaranteed amount of $1.9 million.

However, on February 9, 2026, Reed was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers as part of a four-team trade.
