Aaron Gordon was born to his parents, Ed Gordon and Shelly Davis Gordon. He has two siblings; an older brother, Drew, and an elder sister, Elisabeth Gordon.

Aaron Addison Gordon is an American professional basketball player who plays power forward/small forward for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

He completed his high school at Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose. As a varsity basketball team member, he won two Division II state basketball championships.

Gordon also won the WCAL regular season and playoff title, CCS Division II title, and Nor-Cal championship with his high school team.

After high school, he committed to play for the Arizona Wildcats. After his freshman year, he declared for the NBA draft, forgoing his three years of college eligibility.

His NBA journey started with the Orlando Magic as the 4th overall pick of the 2014 draft.

On March 25, 2026, the power forward, along with Gary Clark, was traded to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Gary Harris, R.J. Hampton, and a future first-round pick.

The Nuggets, featuring and , took a 1-0 lead against the Lakers in the conference finals.

Aaron was the third child of his parents. He has two older siblings, a brother, and a sister.

His sister, Elise, was born in 1992 in San Jose, California. She also shares a common passion for basketball, like her brothers.

Aaron’s sister played for Archbishop Mitty High School. She led her high school team to a State Championship, NorCal Team Championship, two Central Coat Section, and two West Coast Catholic Athletic Leagues (WCAL) titles.

After his successful high school career, he committed to play for the Harvard Crimson.

In her collegiate career, she played 87 games as the Crimson center, recording 304 points, 8 blocks, and 21 steals.

The MBA graduate is currently working as an Integrated Marketing Manager and is a certified NBA Player Agent.

Aaron’s sister has also founded a creative lifestyle brand, “EGO HONOUR,” inspired by her hand-painted and crafted artwork in 2017.

Moreover, she founded Play MakeHERS Clinics & Panels in 2019, designed to provide a platform for young women to develop their skills both on and off the court.

Aaron Gordon Family

Aaron comes from an athletic family. His father, Ed Gordon, is a former two sports college athlete, i.e., football and basketball.

During college, he was considered a relentless rebounder and recorded 13 double-digit rebounding games.

Ed also played professional football with the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL).

Similarly, Aaron’s elder brother, Drew, is a professional basketball player who last played for Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka of the B.League.

Drew played with the UCLA Bruins and the New Mexico Lobos during his collegiate career.

He joined the Dallas Mavericks for the 2012 NBA Summer League after going undrafted in that year’s draft.

Similarly, Drew joined the Utah Jazz, Sacramento Kings, and Philadelphia 76ers for Summer Leagues in 2013 and 2014.
