A prospect of the 2026 NFL draft, Joey Porter Jr, grew up alongside two brothers named Jacob and Willie and two sisters named Jayla and Jasmine.

Joey Porter Jr, son of former NFL player Joey Porter Sr, began his football career at North Catholic High School and later transferred to North Allegheny Senior High School.

He committed to playing college football at Penn State, where he racked up a total of 113 tackles (86 solo tackles and 27 assisted tackles) throughout his college career.

In 2026, he was named a Fox Sports All-American and earned a spot on the First-Team All-Big Ten.

Joey Porter Jr Brother: Jacob & Willie Porter

The football player has two brothers, Jacob & Willie Porter.

Jacob Elijah Porter, the youngest among the Porter siblings, served as a defensive end for North Allegheny’s high school football team.

During his final year, he recorded a total of 37 tackles, including 9 sacks. Furthermore, he was a three-season letterman in track.

Currently, he plays football for the Temple Owls and played his first career game against the South Florida Bulls.

Unfortunately, there is currently no available information regarding Willie Porter, the other brother of Joey.

Sister: Jayla & Jasmine

In addition to two brothers; Jacob & Willie, Joey Porter Sr has two sisters; Jayla and Jasmine. 

One of his sisters, Jasmine Porter, was born with autism. She received her education from the Watson Institute in Sewickley, which is a special education program.

Since childhood, the family has been providing special attention to Jasmine.

Joey Porter Jr, parents, Joey Sr and Christy, founded the Jasmine Nyree Campus, a facility dedicated to assisting adults with developmental issues in Pittsburgh.

The campus is named after their daughter Jasmine, who has autism herself.

Furthermore, it offers job placement assistance, medical care, a food court, extracurricular activities for local children, and an educational center.

Very little information is available about Jayla, except for the fact that she is older than Jasmine.

Joey Porter Jr was born to Christy and Joey Porter Sr on July 16, 2000, in Bakersfield, California.

His father, Joseph Eugene Porter, played college football for Colorado State from 1995 to 1998.

The Pittsburgh Steelers then drafted Joey Sr as the 73rd overall pick in the third round of the 1999 NFL draft.

Joey Sr then played for thirteen seasons in the National Football League (NFL), playing for Pittsburgh Steelers, Miami Dolphins, and Arizona Cardinals.

He was the Super Bowl XL champion and was named 2 times in the First-team All-Pro and 3 times in the Second-team All-Pro.

The outside linebacker then began his coaching career at Colorado State as a defensive assistant before moving on to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2014 as a defensive assistant coach.

He then worked as an outside linebackers coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2015 to 2018.

Currently, Joey Sr is the linebackers coach for the San Antonio Brahmas.
