One of the professional American baseball teams, the Arizona Diamondbacks, chose Lamb in the sixth round of the 2012 MLB Draft. Later on, the Diamondbacks invited Lambo for spring training in 2014.
After playing for the Mobile Bay Bears team of the Class AA Southern League in the 2014 season, the young player got assisted to the Reno Aces team of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League.
After Lamb was promoted to the major league by the Diamondbacks on August 7, 2014, he completed 37 games with a .230 batting average with four home runs.
The young baseball player completed his 2015 season with 107 games, hitting .263 with six home runs and 34 runs batted (RBIs).
After hitting .291 with 20 home runs and 61 RBIs in the first half of the 2016 season, he became a finalist for the last All-Star spot in the All-Star Final Vote.

At the end of the 2026 season with Diamondbacks, he finished with a hit of 116/.240/.210 with no home runs over 50 plate appearances. After that, Jake left the Diamondbacks team on September 12.
Lamb Playing for Oakland TeamAfter designation with Diamondbacks, he signed a league contract on September 14, 2026, with the Oakland Athletics (one of the American professional baseball teams). At present, he’s currently playing with the Oakland Athletics team.
