The former Florida Atlantic Owls football quarterback Jason Driskel is the younger brother of the NFL team Houston Texans quarterback Jeff Driskel. While Jeff has attained considerable success in the NFL, Jason never reached the professional level.
Jeff began his NFL career in 2016 after the San Francisco 49ers chose him in the sixth round of that year’s draft. Following that, he has appeared for nearly a half-dozen teams in the league.
Before his professional league debut, Jeff played college football for two different teams: Florida Gators and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.

Jason Driskel, the younger brother of Jeff, was born to his parents, Jerry and Mary Driskel, on November 12, 1995, in Oviedo, Florida, United States.
Both his parents served in the U.S. military. His mother, Mary, served in the U.S. coast guard for many years.
Jerry had joined the navy when he was just seventeen. He traveled to different places worldwide, serving his country, and eventually retired after twenty years of service.
Being the children of military personnel, Jason and his brother grew up in a disciplined environment. They spent about three years of their childhood in Sasebo when Jerry was posted in Japan.

After returning to the U.S., Jason attended Hagerty High School in Oviedo, Florida, where he played football. Aside from being good at sports, Jason was academically gifted and always brought excellent grades.

Football Career
An incredibly talented athlete since his teenage years, Jeff Driskel played exceptionally well for the Hagerty High School team until 2014. Apart from recording two rushing touchdowns, he had 13 touchdowns, covering 1,160 yards.
After enrolling at the university for engineering courses, Jeff played limited matches for the team as he redshirted throughout his college career. He recorded three touchdowns and four passing interceptions in nine games in the 2015 season.
Jason started the game for the Owls in his second season. He played 12 games this season and had nine touchdowns and eleven interceptions.
Despite having a good chance of getting drafted into the NFL, Jason announced that he would quit his football career after his junior season in 2018.
He thanked his family and everyone who supported him during his football journey and said he would focus on academics from then on. In addition, Jason made it clear that he had never thought of having a professional football career ever in his life.

Jason currently works as a strategy and planning manager at GoPuff, a consumer goods and food delivery company. Before that, he worked as a strategy and operation analyst for the same company in its Austin branch.
