Jo Adell sister, Jessica Adell, is three years older than him and is a softball player. He has always looked up to her, and she is the one that set an example for him. 

Jordon Scot Adell, famous as “Jo Adell,” is an American for the Los Angeles Angels. 

He was born on April 8, 1999, to Scott Adell and Nicole Adell and is a native of Shelby, North Carolina.

Jo graduated from Ballard High School and enrolled in the University of Louisville, where he played collegiate baseball.

In 2017, Los Angeles Angels selected him in the first round of the MLB Draft, and he started his professional career with the Angels’ rookie associate team, the AZL Angles.

On August 4, 2026, Jo made his MLB debut against the Seattle Mariners, going one-for-four.

Making an Angels franchise record, he homered in all six games of a six-game period in April 2026.

Jessica Aneta Adell “Jess” is the older sister of the MLB star Jo Adell. Born on September 23, 1996, in Gastonia, North Carolina, Jessica is three years older than her brother. 

Jessica is also keenly interested in the athlete and aims to become an ESPN broadcaster.

She grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, and just like her brother, she graduated from Ballard High School, where she was involved in sports.

Jessica played softball and track & field at the University of Tennessee and Louisville, making her a unique two-sport athlete.

She shaped her game after India Chiles, a softball legend of Tennessee.

In 2014, she was named NFCA First Team all- American, MaxPreps Second Team All-American, Student Sports High School First Team All-American, and Miss Softball by Kentucky Softball Coaches Association.

She was also named KHSAA all-state and all-region selection and a three-time all-district player for three consecutive years (2012, 2013, and 2014).

Jo always looks up to Jessica as his inspiration for his outstanding performances and as the best athlete in the family.

Professional baseball player Jo Adell comes from a family of athletes. He was born to Scott Adell and Nicole Adell.

Scott was a former professional football player, whereas his mother, Nicole Adell Johnson, is an actor, dancer, singer, and educator.

The Saints selected Scott Adell in the 12th round of the 1992 NFL Draft after performing at North Carolina State.

However, his career was cut short due to a back injury while playing for the Saints.

Even though his father never forced either of the siblings to participate in sports, they both enjoyed it.

Jo and Jessica are very close and share an emotional bond and support each other in every part of their life.

The two have also worked together, with Jessica assisting her brother with the “,” which gives back to the Louisville community.
