John Bol has several siblings, including his brother. Netizens get confused by John Bol with another basketball player John Bol Ajak, as they share the same name.

John Bol is a high school who is originally from South Sudan.

He moved to the USA a few years ago and has been playing basketball since coming to the States.

Before moving to the US, he lived in Kenya and started playing basketball.

Bol initially played at St. Louis Christian Brothers and impressed everyone with his brilliant blocking skills.

Later, he transferred to Sunrise Christian Academy for the 2026-23 season. Simultaneously, he also plays for MOKAN Elite on the Nike WYBL Circuit.

The high school basketball player was born to his parents in South Sudan.

John has a brother with whom he lived in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, and played basketball. However, there is no information available on his brother.

Some online sources claim that John’s brother is Chris Bol.

But Chris Bol is the brother of John Bol Ajak, a fellow South Sudanese basketball player.

Ajak attended Westtown School, and for his collegiate basketball career, he committed to play at Syracuse University.

Nonetheless, John Bol is not related to John Bol Ajak or his brother Chris Bol.

John Bol Is A Cheat Code

The 7 feet 3 high school player plays as a center for the Sunrise Christian basketball team.

His defensive skills are second to none in the high school scenario. Thanks to his height, he can block any shots and is considered one of the best high school rim protectors.

For his impressive defending and scoring skills, some see him as the human cheat code.

The No. 24 recruit in the country in his class by the 247Sports Composite, Bol had several offers on his table before his senior year.

On June 10, Bol announced his commitment to play for the Florida Gators over Connecticut, Michigan, Missouri, Texas, USC, and Wake Forest.

He became the second player to join Florida’s 2026 recruiting class after shooting guard Isaiah Brown from Orlando Christian’s verbal pledge last month.

“I’m going to the University of Florida,” Bol . “It’s a good program, and it’s a really good fit for me. Ultimately my goal is to make it to the NBA, and I feel like me being at Florida is the best fit for me. The SEC, how they play there, the style of play is one that I feel like if I go there, I will be successful and ultimately make my goal.

He added, “Florida is a program where I also think we can make a run. I think that we can make a run and win a championship too.”

A fun fact about this South Sudanese player: He speaks five languages, including Arabic, English and Swahili.
