Julian Champagnie’s Family!

Julian Champagnie was born on June 29, 2001, in Staten Island, New York, to Christina and Ranford Champagnie.

He has an elder twin brother Justin, and a younger brother Jaylen.

His father, Ranford, was the head coach of the soccer team of Baruch College from 2003 to 2017. 

The Bearcats appointed Ranford as the men’s soccer coach on December 15, 2003. Before joining as the soccer coach, he was the access supervisor at Verizon.

Ranford attended high school at Campion College in Jamaica, West Indies. He then finished college at St. John’s University in 1999 and majored in marketing research.

During his time in college, Ranford also played soccer and led the team to the 1996 NCAA Division I National Championship.

Ranford hoped that one of his twin sons would follow his path, but things went differently than he expected, as both are currently basketball players. His youngest son, Jaylen, has also been already hooked on basketball.

Her mother, Christina, is a school teacher at the St. Peter Catholic Academy.

She received her degree from St. Francis College and has taught in the Catholic School System for over 21 years.

His elder twin brother Justin plays for the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the NBA G League.

Julian attended Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School and played basketball alongside his twin brother.

He averaged 15 points per game in his junior year and 17.2 points per game in his senior year.

Julian joined St. John’s over Pittsburgh, Washington State, Cincinnati, and Seton Hall offers. However, his twin brother decided to play collegiate basketball for Pittsburgh.

On February 14, 2026, the Sixers ended their contract with Julian & after two days, the San Antonio Spurs claimed the waiver.
