Ben Martin is an American who has been playing on the . The golfer is native to Greenwood, South Carolina, and currently residing in Kiawah Island.

Playing from an early age, he had a successful amateur career. The Clemson University graduate had played in three major championships and stood the runner-up in the 2009 U.S. Amateur.

Ben turned professional in 2010 and grabbed his first professional title at the Forest Oaks Classic. This was his second professional event on the EGolf Professional Tour.

Furthermore, he finished runner-up at the qualifying school for the PGA Tour at the end of the year, earning his card for PGA Tour 2011 season.

In 2012 and 2013, Martin played Web.com Tour winning his first tour at the 2013 United Leasing Championship. He then earned his 2014 PGA tour card as he finished second on the 2013 Web.com Tour regular season money list.

Martin won his first and only PGA tour title at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open on October 19, 2014. He has also won two Web.com Tour and one EGolf Professional Tour. 

His career highlights include T26 finish at the 2014 Open Championship, T64 finish at the 2015 US Open, the cut in 2010 and 2015, and the PGA Championship 2014  and 2015 cut.

The US golf expert is married to his wife Kelly Martin (maiden name Karen Kelly Pearce). Kelly’s parents are Marguerite Martin and Christopher C. Pearce IV. 

Pearce and Martin got married at the Highland Presbyterian Church in Kelly’s hometown in Winston-Salem. They commended their gathering at the Graylyn with their companions. 

The couple has been together since 2013 and have a happy married life. Moreover, they have two lovely daughters together.

In 2006,  Kelly graduated from R.J. Reynolds Senior High School with honors. Similarly, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Clemson University.

Pearce is a marketing master, aside from being the better half of Ben. She has gained experience as an understudy at the Garden&Gun magazine. Additionally, worked for the Crawford Strategy as well. 

Kelly has a brother Christopher C. V and a sister Emily Elizabeth. They were born and brought up in Winston Salem, Newyork City.

Ben Martin was born to his father Jim Martin and his mother whose name is yet to be disclosed. They live in Greenwood, SC where Ben was born and raised.

Jim graduated from the University of Alabama, even though both of Ben’s parents attended Clemson.

His dad began taking Ben on short walks of three or four holes when he was just 3 years of age. By the time he turned 7 years old, Ben was already playing in tournaments.

Jim Martin attended his first Masters with his own dad in 1967. Now Ben gets to watch his son play the Masters for the second time and first as a professional.

Jim also said in an interview that he and his wife talk about their son’s accomplishments all the time as it feels surreal.

The golfer says that his parents have been very supportive throughout his entire golf career. He thus accredits his professional success to his parents to some extent.
