The Pittsburgh Pirates picked up the Floridian player from the Diamondbacks in March 2014.
Immediately, he played for the Altoona Curve of the Class in 2014.
Seeing his skills, he was promoted to Indianapolis Indians of the Class AAA International League during the season. It was after he initiated the 2014 season through Altoona.
The Pirates upheld Broxton to the major leagues in September, and Broxton served mainly as a pinch-runner.
