The 1.96 meters Killian Hayes is a French-American professional basketball player who plays shooting guard and points guard positions for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
He is the son of former professional basketball player DeRon Hayes who played in France, Ukraine, Russia, Portugal, and Sweden.
From playing in small clubs in France to making it to the NBA, Killian has defied all the odds and has emerged as one of the best in the league.

Killian Hayes was born Killian Deron Antron Hayes on July 27, 2001, in Lakeland, Florida, United States, to his professional basketball player father DeRon Hayes, and mother, Sandrine Hayes.

Killian Hayes played for the Cholet from 2017 to 2019, making his debut with the senior team on October 21, 2017. He was just 16 years, 2 months, and 24 days.
He signed a three-year contract with the team before the 2018-19 season after considering various other European clubs.

Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) is the top league in Germany and the EuroCup.
His NBA dreams came true when Detroit Pistons picked him 7th overall in the 2026 NBA Draft. He signed a rookie contract with the team on December 1, 2026.
Altercation & Suspension
The Pistons point guard Killian Hayes was hit with the harshest punishment for the altercation between players on the Magic and Pistons on Wednesday night game on December 28, 2026.
It all happened just before halftime of the contest between the Magic and the Pistons. With only 30 seconds remaining, Wagner and Hayes chased a loose ball in the backcourt.
As the ball was about to roll out of play, Franz Wagner shoved Killian in the back, sending him tumbling into the bench.
Then Killian popped up and punched Wagner in the back of the head.
All in all, 11 players were suspended following the incident; nine from Orlando and two from the Pistons.
Hayes was suspended for three games without pay, and he forfeited $120,781 for his role in on-court alteration.
