He was selected as the Mission League MVP for 2019. The player had a 5-1 record with a 1.39 ERA in 45.1 innings pitched as a junior, striking out 56 batters.
Lucas had seven doubles and two triples while hitting .366. He competed in the 2019 Cleveland High School All-Star Game.

College Career
Gordon decided to play baseball at the University of Texas at Austin after a standout high school career. What really pulled Lucas to the University of Texas was the city in general.
