The Dominican professional baseball player Luis Castillo and his wife Elanyi Castillo have been married for over 11 years and share two adorable kids.

Luis Miguel Castillo, widely known as Luis Castillo, currently plays as a pitcher for the Seattle Mariners in Major League Baseball.

Although Luis had signed with San Francisco Giants and Miami Marlins, he only made his debut in 2017 with Cincinnati Reds.

After debuting, he spent six seasons with the Cincinnati Reds, starting in 137 games and averaging a 3.62 ERA and 860 strikeouts.

On July 29, 2026, the Cincinnati Reds traded Luis Castillo to the Seattle Mariners.

He then inked a five-year contract worth $108 million with the Mariners a month later on September 24, 2026.

Throughout his time in MLB, he has featured twice in the All-Star Game in 2019 and 2026.

Luis captioning, “MI ESPOSA BELLA Y YO,” which translates to “My Beautiful Wife And Me.”

Assuming his Instagram post, the player must have been married for over 11 years now.

1000th Strike Out

The pitcher established himself as one of the elites of the MLB, and people were shocked when his game dropped. 

However, notching his 1000th strike out and just playing a great game all around, Castillo seems to be back. 

The Mariners needed their pitcher to show up against the last-place Oakland Athletics. After a long away game, it was the team’s first game back in T-Mobile Park. 

And show up he did, Luis Castillo delivered emphatically in an 11-2 victory.

The Mariners were also in great form, and their pitcher did not let them down, pitching six innings of shutout ball. 

The Dominican gave up only four hits while striking out eight and walking two.

Furthermore, he got the 1,000th career strikeout by pitching out Shea Langeliers to lead off the fifth inning.

The player stood in awe as the players and the stadium gave him a standing ovation, honoring the milestone.
