With the ongoing signing around the team, cornerback Mackensie Alexander is finally back to his former team after a year.
According to Alexander’s agent, Neil Schwartz, he has signed in for his comeback with the Vikings on a free-agent contract.
Indeed, the Vikings have welcomed yet another familiar face to the team for team building. Apparently, Alexander is the second addition to the team after cornerback Patrick Peterson.
As a matter of fact, Patrick signed a one-year deal with the team, which was worth $10 million.
Besides Patrick, the team has signed in Cameron Dantzler and Jeff Gladney. Also, their team has Mike Hughes, who is at the end of the contract this year.

Currently, as the Vikings have signed in Alexander, it leaves them with a flexible inner team. However, regarding Alexander’s contract, they have yet to make the detailed information on it.
As of now, the Vikings only wish to keep Alexander in some other position, even with the running possibility that he could compete for the slot corner. In fact, they seem to have made a strengthening plan now.

As for Mike Hughes, it is uncertain if he is to get an upgrade in his position, as it is his last season with the Vikings as per the contract. Also, moving Hughes would only save the Vikings $1.177 million in cap space.
