The two times Golden Glove Award winner Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed parents have been the subject of interest among netizens.

Nicholas Mark Ahmed is an American professional baseball shortstop who plays for the  of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Ahmed played basketball at East Longmeadow High School in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and was a member of the National Honor Society.

For his collegiate career, he played shortstop and pitcher for the Connecticut Huskies baseball team.

The Atlanta Braves selected Nick as the 85th overall pick in the second round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft.

During his time with the Lynchburg Hillcats of the minor league, Baseball America named him the fastest baserunner in 2012.

The Braves traded the shortstop to the Diamondbacks after the 2012 season, and he made his MLB debut on June 29, 2014.

The player has won two Golden Glove Awards in 2018 and 2019.

Michael Stephen Ahmed is the younger brother of Nick. He was born on January 20, 1992, in Springfield, Massachusetts.

He played baseball at East Longmeadow High School and committed to play for the Holy Cross Crusaders for his college career.

Michael was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 20th round of the 2013 MLB Amateur Draft.

Throughout his career, Michael played in multiple positions, including third baseman, shortstop, and first baseman.

The player stands at 6 feet 2 inches and is a free agent for the time being after playing 510 games in the minor leagues.

Nick and Michael played together with the Arizona Diamondbacks during the 2026 spring training.

Besides, the two players also have another brother named Alex. However, not much details are available about him.

In an interview, Nick said that the brothers loved sports and grew up playing all sorts of sports together. He recalled the fun of having brothers growing up and being able to compete with them.
