Brandon Wu parents, Yichun Wu and Xiaobing Zhang, have two other sons named Evan Wu and Michael Wu.

Brandon Wu, a , was born on June 26, 1996, in Danville, California. He started playing golf at Standard University and was a member of the golf team that won the NCAA championship in 2019.

Wu debuted professionally on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019. Additionally, the golfer has also participated in the PGA Tour.

Also, the player has played in numerous major championships, including the U.S. Open and the Masters.

In addition to that, Brandon is also known for his all-around strong game and has been praised for his consistency and mental toughness on the golf course.

However, Wu is acknowledged as one of the rising stars of American golf. Furthermore, he has already achieved crucial success in his career despite his young age.

Equally important, the player has also won the Korn Ferry Tour Championship of 2026.

Brandon Wu is of Chinese-American ethnicity as Brandon’s father, Yichun Wu, and his mother, Xiaobing Zhang, moved to the U.S. from Beijing.

Additionally, Wu’s family lived in Beijing for almost five years while she was growing up. While in New York, Yichun owned a scrap metal business.

He grew up with two siblings, Evan Wu, and Michael Wu. The brothers have a great bond and support each other in every step of their careers.

However, Wu hasn’t revealed much about his family background and siblings, but he has definitely given credit and expressed love for the support.

The siblings and his parents always went to watch the golfer’s games, which encouraged the player to play more and achieve success.

Brandon Wu Career

Brandon Wu started his career journey when he was a golfer in high school. He also earned a scholarship to play college golf at Stanford University.

Not to mention, Wu was also a member of the golf team that won the NCCA championship in 2019 while he was in Standford. Additionally, the golfer also achieved various honors and awards during high school.

He made his debut with the Korn Ferry Tour, the developmental tour for the PGA Tour, and turned professional in 2019.

In addition to that, Brandon went on to record several other strong finishes on tour and also finished in the top 25 in his first tournament that year.

He played on both the and the PGA Tour in 2026. Again in 2026, Wu participated in his first major championship, the U.S. Open.

Brandon also played for the Masters in 2026 and made the cut, finishing tied for 26th.

While continuing his journey on both Korn Ferry and the PGA Tour, he achieved several top-10 finishes and secured a card from the PGA Tour for the 2026 season.
