Brendon Malone, the father of Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone, couldn’t possibly be prouder of his son’s remarkable achievements.

Throughout Michael’s coaching journey, Brendon has witnessed his son’s commitment, tireless work ethic, and unyielding dedication to the game of basketball.

As a former NBA head coach himself, Brendon understands the tremendous challenges and pressures that come with leading a team to success at the highest level.

He has seen firsthand the countless hours his son has poured into studying the game, developing strategies, and instilling a winning mentality within the Nuggets organization.

With each step of Michael’s coaching career, Brendon has stood as a steadfast pillar of support, offering guidance, wisdom, and encouragement.

He has been a constant source of inspiration, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience to help mold into the exceptional coach he is today.

As Michael guided the Nuggets to their , Brendon’s heart swelled with an overwhelming sense of pride.

Brief On Brendon Malone

Michael Malone’s dad, , a former basketball coach, was born and raised in the neighborhood of Astoria in Queens, New York City.

He spent his formative years there before attending Rice High School, where he honed his skills both on and off the court.

Brendan’s father, also named Brendan, dedicated his career to unloading freight cars for the renowned Railway Express Agency.

After completing his high school education, Brendan pursued higher learning at Iona College.

Although his time on the court for the Iona Gaels men’s basketball team was limited to just one game in 1960, he made the most of his college experience and graduated in 1962 with a bachelor’s degree.

Through his dedication and passion for the game, Malone’s journey from his humble beginnings in Queens to his coaching career is a testament to his commitment to basketball.
