The team manager of Crystal Palace, Roy Hodgson, will now leave Crystal Palace when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The 73-year-old England international said: “It’s time to dump her and move on.”
Hodgson has always been in charge of the Palace since September 2017.
His final home game will be held against the team Arsenal on Wednesday. And his last match will be against the team Liverpool, one of his former clubs, at Anfield on Sunday.
Asked if he was retiring, Hodgson said: “One never knows. It’s dangerous to do it if you still feel good about yourself. To start making bold statements about retirement.
“I am not leaving the team Crystal Palace now by intending to return to the market for another job.
“I’m giving up on football for a while. But who knows what is the future going to be like? It’s a meaningless moment.
“I’ve seen a lot of people who have retired for the whole war. But they reappeared in a short time. I want to avoid that.
“I’m also looking forward to spending more time together with my entire family. And maybe listening to what they have to do once because it hasn’t happened much in the last 50 years.”

Hodgson started his playing career at the Palace and supported them. He has replaced as a manager with a Premier League club at a young age as they lost. Their first games of the 2017-18 season without scoring a goal.
Despite losing his first three games, he led Palace to 11th place on the table. They finished 12th and 14th in the next season and are currently 13th with two games to go.
The Palace chairman Steve Parish said: “It has really been a great privilege. And a pleasure to work with Roy, who is a great man and a great football manager.
“I also know what it might mean for the team manager Roy to manage the team that he supported at a young age, adding to his outstanding. And unparalleled role in football management.
“His record cannot be overlooked. He is the only Palace manager to have defended the Premier League for four years. And he has helped give us stability in the most difficult of times.
“We will always be grateful towards him for his contribution towards football and the team.”
Record: 45 years, 16 teams, eight countries
Hodgson, the oldest player in the Premier League, began his managerial career 45 years ago with Swedish club Halmstads.
He has managed 16 clubs in eight countries, including Inter Milan and Udinese. And Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, and Finland.
He also led Blackburn, Liverpool, West Brom, and Fulham in the Premier League. He was leading the Cottagers to the 2010 Europa League final.
He took a job in England just before Euro 2012 and led them to the quarter-finals. But two years later, they were knocked out of the group stage for the World Cup for the first time since 1958.
England’s Hodgson has won all 10 Euro 2016 qualifiers. But have been relegated after a 2-1 defeat in the last 16. By Iceland, leaving him with a record of three wins in 11 major tournaments.

Most Premier League executives honored Hodgson at their pre-match news conferences.
The team Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said: “He is a legend. He has done what he has done for football, for England football, what he has done as a manager. And what he has done for various clubs is fantastic.
“He’s been doing it for a long time. He’s a good role model for me as a young coach. He’s the person I love.”
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp described Hodgson as “one of the biggest, biggest people in our business.”

The team Everton manager said: “Roy is a good friend. He has had an excellent career. In Italy, they have good memories of him.
“He has helped to make football better. And has taught many managers how to behave on and off the field.”
Hodgson’s replacement will have ‘impossible work.’
Speaking before Hodgson had confirmed his departure, former Blackburn striker Chris Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday night. The club that his successor was facing “impossible work.”
“You should have to look at the work that Roy did there. They are always comfortable,” Sutton said.
“However, he is also not everyone’s cup of tea because of the type of game. But in terms of performance and keeping the owners happy. He is the perfect fit.
“And the squad will also need lots of adjustments as most of the players are out of contract.”
Furthermore, former Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, who played under Hodgson at Fulham, told 5 Live: “Looking at his time. Especially at Inter Milan, the Italians were known for having that defensive, robust, highly organized team, and Roy loved that.
“When we had started playing at Fulham, the players were pulling their hair out because the training times were not fun.
“It wasn’t until two or three months later. That the players had started to see the penetration had gone down. This was just a surprisingly solid foundation, which we would build on, for the final third flexibility.
“I’m also pretty sure that the Crystal Palace fans who will surely be at the stadium on Wednesday will show their gratitude towards him. The players and staff all spoke very well of Roy Hodgson.”
