Shawn Michaels was born on July 22, 1965, in Chandler, Arizona, the United States, to Richard Hickenbottom and Carol Hickenbottom

With guidance and training from Jose Lothario, Michaels made his professional wrestling debut in 1984 with the National Wrestling Alliance. 

In 1987, he signed a contract with the World Wrestling Federation but got fired due to a misunderstanding. However, one year later, he was rehired by the Company and debuted at a live event in 1988.

Later, in 1993 Shawn Michaels partnered with Diesel and was awarded by Dave Meltzer for his match with at WrestleMania X five-stars.
