Derek Stepan wife is Stephanie Kent, and the couple have been married since 2014. 

Derek Stepan (full name: Derek Kenneth Stepan) is a who is currently with Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL. 

He plays as a center and debuted in the sport in 2010. Moreover, the Hurricane player has also featured for clubs like Arizona Coyotes, New York Rangers, and Ottawa Senators.

Stepan’s first club was New York Rangers, after they drafted Stepan in the second round, 51st overall, in the .

The 6 feet (1.83 m) also dabbled in the sport in high school at Shattuck-Saint Mary’s.

Furthermore, the center has also played for his country as he had the honor of captaining US in the 2010 IIHF World U20 Championships.

He led the team at the tournament in scoring with four goals and ten assists in seven games.

Additionally, his efforts and leadership led America to win their second gold medal ever, defeating Canada in overtime.

On August 9, 2014, the couple got married after dating for a long period. However, the exact timeline of the relationship is not known.

Derek and Stephanie also share two children together; their first child was born on October 27, 2015, and their second child on September 21, 2017.

Reportedly, the NHL star proposed to her wife and got married in his hometown of Mississippi, US. 

The ring was also made by Stepan’s family, as they are also involved in the jewelry design business.

Although there is not much information regarding the ice hockey player’s wife, she seems like a sweet girl.

The player has suffered setbacks in his life, and one of the major injuries he suffered was when he had a shoulder injury while playing for the Ottawa Senators.

The forward was injured in a 5-4 shootout win against the Montreal Canadiens. Moreover, the American damaged a labrum after dislocating his left shoulder.

Sadly, that led to Stepan missing the 2026-22 season and having to go under the knife.

Derek Stepan has a good career, even after the surgery. The forward also featured in the match between Carolina Hurricanes and vs New Jersey Devils. 

Although the Hurricanes won the match 5-1 on May 4, 2026, Derek did not record any goals or assists in the game.
