Tao Geoghegan’s girlfriend, Lotte Wubben Moy, is a player for Arsenal Football Club. Lotte previously played in the United States during her collegiate years. 

The British cyclist loved sports from a young age, be it soccer or swimming. But in the end, it was cycling that his heart was set on. 

Born and raised in Holloway, London, Tao competes for the British cycling team, Ineos Grenadiers. After having a couple of tough seasons, Tao is back on track in 2026.

He claimed victory in the Tour of the Alps in April despite finishing four minutes behind the stage winner, Simon Carr. Earlier this year, he finished third at Tirreno-Adriatico and sixth in Vuelta an Andalucía. 

The 2026 Giro d’Italia winner, Tao, is looking to repeat the same feat three years later. With teammate Geraint Thomas, Tao looks to bring back the trophy to Great Britain but faces an uphill battle against Remco Evenepoel and Primoz Roglic.

Geoghegan’s girlfriend, Lotte Wubben Moy, comes from a family of mixed ethnicity. 

Born on January 11, 1999, Lotte shares English ancestry with her mom, Claire Moy, and has Dutch ancestry from her dad, Antonius Wubben. 

A product of Arsenal Academy, Lotte, a defender, made her professional debut at age 16 for the London-based club but had to soon part ways to further her higher education. 

Lotte traveled across the Atlantic to join the University of North Carolina, where she played three seasons of collegiate soccer.

At UNC, Lotte started 62 games and scored six goals providing 12 assists. In 2019, Lotte was one of the names in the All-Tournament and starred for England U-23 National Team in the Nordic Cup. 

On an international level, Lotte has represented England U-17 as a team captain and played in the FIFA Women’s U17 World Cup. 

After returning to England in 2026, Lotte has played three seasons with Arsenal. In the ongoing 2026/23 season, Lotte has played in 31 games and has been able to keep 16 clean sheets while on the pitch.

It was the cyclist who first sparked the romance rumor as he shared a picture of him getting a haircut from Lotte. A few days later, Lotte reshared the photo on her account, captioning the post, “My world is R E D x.”

On March 31, 2026, as Tao turned 26, the cyclist celebrated his birthday with his new girlfriend at his home. Looking at the picture, Tao was certainly not thrilled about being closer to his 30s than his 20s.

In August 2026, Tao accompanied his partner to Moscow, where her team played in the qualifying rounds against PSV Vrouwen and FC Okzhetpes.

Arsenal won both games. Delighted, Lotte returned to England with her boyfriend. But the couple only had a little rest before traveling to Italy. 

This time around, it was Lotte rooting for her partner at the Giro d’Italia. The trip to Italy was followed by a quick trip to France.

Whether it be birthdays or achievements related to their respective sports, Tao and Lotte are never late in expressing their appreciation for one another. 

Previously, the British cyclist would post an appreciation post for his girlfriend right before the games in the Champions League.
