He made his professional debut in the third-round German Cup match for Hansa Rostock against Vfl Wolfsburg on January 28, 2009.

He was substituted in the 69th minute for Sebastian Svärd.

Both brothers started playing soccer at a young age, with their father as their first coach.

Toni learned how to control possessions and find space on the field from French player Johan Micoud, which helped him become successful at the top level.

On the other hand, Felix was also a talented player, but he struggled to find success at Hansa Rostock. 

In July 2026, Felix announced his retirement from his playing career. However, not leaving soccer entirely, he transitioned into the role of assistant coach for Union Berlin’s U-19 side in November 2026.

Despite not attaining the same level of success as his brother, Felix Kroos had a respectable professional career and remains actively engaged in soccer as a coach.

Felix Kroos has been married to Lisa Klaas since 2019.

Roland Kroos was born on November 18, 1959, in Greifswald, East Germany.

Tony’s mother, Birgit Kroos, is a former German badminton player who was born on June 16, 1962, in Greifswald, Germany.

She represented Germany at the Olympic Games and the World Championships, where she reached the quarterfinals in the women’s doubles event.

After retiring from competitive badminton, Kroos has continued to be involved in the sport as a coach and mentor to young players.

Toni Kroos is married to Jessica Kroos, a successful German businesswoman. They started dating in high school and got married in 2015.

The couple has three children, Leo, Amelie, and Fin, and they currently live in Greifswald, Germany.
