Known as “The Tiger of Madras” for his unrivaled skills in chess, Anand has been an inspirational figure for thousands. His journey began in 1984; during the Asian Junior Championship, he was the winner of the match.

Later in 1988, with mere hard work and perseverance, Anand achieved the title of grandmaster and became the first Indian grandmaster.
