Shayne Gostisbehere wife, Gina Valentine, is the biggest support system and inspiration for the professional ice hockey defenseman.

Gina and Shayne are the power couple who believes in giving back to the community.

Although professionally, both are in different fields, as Gina works as an emergency room trauma nurse in Fort Myers, Florida.

Shayna is an American ice hockey defenseman for the National Hockey League (NHL) Carolina Hurricanes.

Shayne’s career took a turn overnight after his 2012 NHL Entry Draft as a 78th overall pick in the third round.

The has also represented the United States internationally at the 2013 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships in Ufa, Russia.

Gina married Shayne Gostisbehere after he proposed to Gina in May 2026, and they tied their wedding knot on August 7, 2026.

She has worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) during the pandemic.

Gina was also an emergency room trauma nurse in Fort Myers, Florida, but it’s not sure if she still works there.

She is lately inclined toward the medical beautician field and, since 2026, has been working with the newly opened business Hause of Confidence.

Gina works in the Confidence Crew with Haus medspa/HOC, which gives beauty treatments like Botox or Jeuveau, IV hydration, etc.

She also has a personalized page , where she markets Botox + Filler treatment in Hause of Confidence.

Gina has no kids but calls herself a dog mamma as she has three dogs, Cooper, Pippa & Louie.

Charity

The power couple is always ready to help society to make it better to live ethically.

During the Covid times, Gina worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she encountered a grave issue of N95 mask shortage.

Gina explained it to Shayne, saying, “At the time, I was reusing the same surgical mask at work and having to store it in a paper bag between my shifts.”

Following this, the ice hockey player took the issue to Twitter and organized the availability of N95 masks for the hospital with the help of a friend.

This was not the only time the couple stepped up to help needy people.

In 2017, the couple hosted a trivia night to raise money with the help of the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The couple has learned a lot; as Gina explains, “it really has put things into perspective for not only herself but Shayne too.”

The couple has also delivered an inspiring speech to underprivileged children, advising them to follow their dreams and keep working towards their goals.
