Denny Hamlin’s sister, Lisa Chapman, is one of two kids inherited by Hamlin’s mother. Denny and Lisa grew up alongside three other siblings; DJ, David, and Kim. 

The American race driver, Denny Hamlin, is considered one of the greats in the racing world.

A man with 48 victories, Hamlin is yet to win a championship trophy.

Despite not having a championship title to his name, Hamlin’s legacy shouldn’t be questioned.

In the latest race at Dover Motor Speedway, the veteran finished fifth behind . 

It was Hamlin’s fourth top 5 finish this year as he currently sits at 7th in the NASCAR Cup Series. His next race will be at Kansas Speedway for Advent Health 400.

Denny Hamlin’s sister, Lisa Chapman, remains away from the public limelight. 

The youngest of 5 siblings, Denny is the only biological child of Mary Lou and Denny Hamlin Sr. 

Previously, on her birthday, Denny wished his sister with a photo of her cutting a birthday cake. Denny captioned the post thanking his sister for being there for him when he needed her the most.

Lisa resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, and rarely gives insight into her life on social media. She is available on with the username @lisamarie.chapman but has kept her handle private. 

On her Facebook, Lisa has shared appreciation posts for her brothers and nieces but hasn’t talked about any other family members. It gives the idea that Lisa might be unmarried. 

Any posts related to Lisa have always come on her birthday, whether through her brother, Denny, or her mother, Mary Lou. 

Along with Denny, Lisa has three other siblings. In a Facebook post, their mother, Marry Lou, shared that she became a mom to D.J. and David through adoption and inherited Lisa and Kim.

Denny Hamlin’s parents, Mary Lou, and Denny Hamlin Sr, raised him and his four siblings in Florida.

The couple got married when Mary was 15 and Dennis was 21, and have been married for 53 years.

Dennis worked as a service manager for Great Dane Trailers and later opened Chesterfield Trailer and Hitch shop.

Dennis started this business so that his son would have something to support himself if he couldn’t make it big in racing.

His parents spent all their savings to fund their son’s races. They even put their house on mortgage twice and sold their antique cars to support Denny in pursuing his dream.

After spending about $750k, the Hamlin family were unable to afford any more expense, and Denny started to work at his father’s trailer-and-hitch shop.

His mom, Mary Lou, grew up in a household of six children and always wanted a big family for herself.

Mary was a full-time stay-at-home mother but did her best to support her children’s dreams.

Denny had shared a throwback picture of him with his parents and cheekily thanked his mom. 

The legendary driver captioned the post thanking his mom for letting him cover her flower wallpaper with his racing trophies. 

There’s no doubt that Mary and Denny Sr are proud of their son. And all the sacrifices they made for their son have paid off.
