Miles was born on 18 March 1987 in Dallas, Texas, Unites States. He was taken to proud parents, Calvin Miles Sr and Lanis Miles.

C.J. grew up and spent his childhood in Dallas, along with his parents and three siblings. He is the oldest son among them.

Utah Jazz

Miles began his professional career with Utah Jazz when Jazz offered him a two-year contract. With this, he became the youngest player in Jazz franchise history.

To gain more experience in basketball, Utah Jazz assigned C.J to  Albuquerque Thunderbirds of the NBA Development League(D-League) for the 2005-06 season.

In the 2006-07 season, Miles played 21 games altogether. For one more time again, he was assigned to Idaho Stampede of the D-League. Miles coach stated about him,

“I don’t care if he’s 19 or 30. If he’s going to be on the floor in the NBA, he’s got to be able to step up and get after it.”

Jazz signed an extended contract with Miles on July 25, 2008. He was assigned Jazz’s sixth man’s role during the beginning of the 2010-11 season.

Cleveland Cavaliers

After the contract ended with Jazz, C.J signed with Cleveland Cavaliers on August 8, 2012.

When playing up with the Philadelphia 76ers, Miles recorded a Cavaliers franchise-high 10 three-pointers in a 111–93 victory. This happened on January 7, 2014.

Indiana Pacers

Calvin collaborated for four years with the Indiana Pacers on July 11, 2014.

After scoring 32 points in a 123-106, Pacer won the victory against Washington Wizards. This became his after joining the Pacers.

Toronto Raptors

After the Indian Pacers, the young player signed up with Toronto Raptors for 3 years and debuted the season in 2007.
