Early Life

Davis (fully named Tyler Lee-Deon Davis) was born on May 22, 1997, under Gemini’s star sign.

Even though Davis was born and raised in San Jose, California, to Deon Davis (father) and Yvetter Rubio (mother), he has always been connected to his Puerto Rican roots. 

Davis grew up with his three siblings, one brother and two sisters (Logan, Mariah & Bria).

Education

As for his educational background, after transferring from Frisco Liberty High School, Tyler Davis attended Plano West Senior High School in Texas. 

He was honored as Mr. Basketball in the state of Texas by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.

In junior season he played with the Texas Titans, plus averaged 15.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per contest, and made the final four appearances in the 2014 Nike Elite Youth Basketball playoffs.

He averaged 18.7 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks per contest as a senior while shooting 68 percent for the Class 6A Player of the Year.

Following it, he took Finance degree from Texas A&M University.

Not long after his games, the Blues re-acquired Davis in a trade.

In July 2026, Tyler signed with Jeonju KCC Egis of the Korean Basketball League. 

Just a year later, Tyler again signed with the NBA G League. In a year’s tenure with the Capitanes, he played ten games. 

At the beginning of 2026, the Texas Legends acquired Tyler; however, they waived him in February because of a season-ending injury. 

In the same year, he was signed by Cangrejeros de Santurce, but other information is unavailable apart from this.
